The Administrative Efficiency of Local Government Organization in MahaSarakham Province, Thailand

The local administrative organization was established to provide public services in response to the needs of the people of each area, which is following the principle of Decentralization. However, since the establishment of local government over the entire country, the provision of public services has not yet responded to the needs of the people. therefore, this research aims to (1) To study the efficiency of local administration of the local government organization. (2) To study the local administration development approach of the local government organization, which is a mixed method. The instrument was a questionnaire and interview. The sample was 143 representatives of the local government research in MahaSarakham Province, Thailand. To analyze by descriptive statistics and content analysis. The research results found that; (1) The efficiency in the local administration of the local government organization was the highest (Mean = 4.77, 95.53%) considering as aspects; Legal service (Mean =4.77), public health (Mean = 4.77), Community development and social welfare (Mean = 4.77), and Income or tax (Mean = 4.76) respectively. (2) the local administration development approach consists of policy guidelines, operating guidelines, spatial action approach, and academic development guidelines.
