Résumé

The objective of the research was to determine the factors that are associated with the level of knowledge on the inadequate management of solid waste in the main central market supply centres, Bellavista, Laykacota and Union and Dignity, of the city of Puno, for which a Logit binomial model was applied to a sample of 129 traders. It could be determined that the types of waste generated in these markets to a greater proportion are food scraps, fruit and vegetable waste and shell residues, paper scraps and wood in a smaller proportion. The variables that explain the level of knowledge about inadequate management of solid waste are the amount of solid waste that is carried to a recycler (UR), the amount of solid waste it classifies in organic and inorganic waste (IO); the amount of wood waste recycled (MM); the amount of paper waste recycled (PP). In addition, ex explained by the deposit of solid waste in bags (EB); the amount of cardboard waste recycled (CT); the amount of can waste recycled (LL); because of the amount of glass waste recycled (VV). Finally, it is explained by the amount of solid waste that is deposited in a caneca (EC); the amount of solid waste that is deposited in tanks (ET) and the amount of solid waste that is deposited in sacks (TCEs).
