This article deals with the issue of training a foreign language teacher at a specialized school of economics. The content of the article is aimed at revealing the structure and features of using the meta-communicative approach when teaching a foreign language to students specializing in training a foreign language teacher for a specialized school. The article is based on the analysis of a set of exercises designed to form the meta-communicative competence, which consists of several subcompetencies such as meta-language, meta-subject and meta-textual.
The study is aimed at identifying the methodological characteristics of the model for training a foreign language teacher at a specialized economics school, which includes didactic opportunities for lessons based on fulfilling information-code, inference, and interactive tasks as an element of the model. The formation principles of the meta-communicative competence of a foreign language teacher at a specialized school of economics are determined.
The importance of meta-communicative competence formation is connected with the fact that students must have a good command in economic meta-language as a subject of intercultural communication. The competence-based foreign language education is a methodological basis for their training.
