Education Values of Madurese Cultural Wisdom in Traditional Children Games: An Ecolinguistic Study

This research focuses on describing the educational values of wisdom in traditional children's games based on local culture. The data source for this locational research is children in the Madurese cultural community. The substantive data sources are the values of local wisdom education in traditional children's games that are deeply rooted in society. The research data is in the form of traditional game texts that contain the values of local wisdom education. The data were collected using the observation method, by observing to the texts of traditional children's games obtained during the research. The technique used is recording and note-taking technique. In addition to the observation method, the interview method is also used. Interviews were conducted with figures who understand the values of local wisdom education on traditional children's games. Interviews were also conducted with children who were actors in traditional games. Data analysis was carried out by distributional methods and content analysis. To analyze the data, this study uses a metaphorical ecolinguistic perspective - which involves social, cultural, and ethnic perspectives. The results of the study found the values of local wisdom education, including (1) solidarity, togetherness, harmony, and brotherhood (2) balance and synergy, (3) responsibility and sportsmanship, (4) persistence and perseverance, (5) agility and accuracy. (6) monotheism and respect. The values of this local wisdom education become a worldview guide for the young Madurese generation so that they are proud to maintain or preserve the noble values of ecology and ethnicity.
