Effect of Using Smart Board for Developing Creative Writing among 8th Graders

Résumé

The use of smart board during teaching of writing skills helps students and teachers to improve their learning andapplications of computer. The Purpose of the study was to investigate the “effect of use of smart board for developing creative writing among 8th graders. Control and experimental groups were formed of 30 student in each group enrolled in 8th grade. Quasi-experimental (non-equivalent groups) pre-test, post-test, control group design was employed in this study. Researcher taught experimental group with the help of using smart board technique and another group was taught by traditional method. The pre-test and post-test was developed by the researcher for both groups. Validity of the test was ensured by experts’ opinions. After the treatment was completed, the post-test was conducted for both groups. The comparisons of both groups were compared by applying paired samples t-test and independent sample t-test. Findings of the study revealed that the pre-test and post-test scores were found to be significant regarding use of smart board for developing creative writing skills among 8th graders. The pre-test and post-test scores were found to be significant regarding use of smart board for developing creative writing skills among 8th graders.The scores of control group and experimental group in pre-test were found to be significant in pre-test regarding use of smart board for developing creative writing skills among 8th graders.The scores of control group and experimental group were found not to be significant in post-test regarding use of smart board for developing creative writing skills among 8th graders.
