Cultivate Humanity Literacy In Junior High School In “Freedom of Learning” Era

The research objectives in this article are twofold. 1) Describe the humanitarian literacy culture of the Freedom Learning Era in Distance Learning at SMP Negeri 1 Sukoharjo. 2) to describe the role of teachers in cultivating humanitarian literacy in the Free Era of Learning in Distance Learning at SMP Negeri 1 Sukoharjo. The type of this research is based on a qualitative-ethnographic approach. The data collection techniques are carried out through observation, structured interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data is by means of triangulation of techniques and sources. The data analysis technique with interactive methods. The results of the research in this article are twofold. 1) Humanity literacy civilization can be done by (1) utilizing the learning management system as a learning medium; (2) teach students to understand correct information; (3) directing students to ensure information sourced from the internet; and (4) inviting students to think critically in dealing with problems. The supporting factors for the culture of human literacy at SMP Negeri 1 Sukoharjo in the era of freedom of learning include, (1) full support from the school principal; (b) availability of electronic books for students; (c) the existence of a comfortable virtual classroom design to support literacy activities during distance learning; (d) the existence of various program activities in order to cultivate humanitarian literacy. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors for literacy culture include: (a) Limited digital library collections, especially reading books that attract students' interests and tastes; (b) Students lack of interest in reading.
