This study aims to investigate a shift in sustainability by observing the mediating mechanism of employee engagement and personality attributes between green HRM practices and employee green behavior in the perspective of necessary environmental initiatives taken by the organizations. This research theoretical contributes in person organization fit theory. The nature of this study was quantitative and cross-sectional in its type. The primary data from 384 respondents were collected. The target population of this study was an employees working in leading listed manufacturing firms of Pakistan and purposeful-sampling technique was used. The statistical assessment was performed through structural equation modelling. The SEM outcomes revealed that employee engagement and personality attributes mediate the relationship between green HRM and employee green behavior. Moreover, study revealed the significance of person-organization fit in the scenario of environmental initiatives. This research is helpful for management to maintain sustainability in organization
