The purpose of this paper is to design and apply an Emotional Intelligence (EI) program for teacher trainees as a fundamental component of the National Education System (SEN). Feasibility was measured by means of a questionnaire applied to a total of 379 teachers in training in four semesters of three groups each. The results were analyzed from a qualitative perspective through the interpretation of the answers provided by the teachers through the questionnaire applied. One of the main findings was to know that the teachers in training, when participating in a non-formal skill workshop, experienced small changes, but not significant for the quantitative techniques, descriptive and inferential statistics were used, the descriptive statistics allowed showing those small changes, but when giving way to the inferential with parametric tests determined the null significance, on the other hand the qualitative techniques allowed knowing with greater amplitude the ideas that they were conceiving as the workshop progressed.
