Résumé

West Bengal coastal regions are located basically in three districts those are Purba Medinipur, North 24parganas and South 24parganas. One of the most suitable coastal tourist place of west Bengal is ‘Digha’ which is in western sector of Purba Medinipur district. To harness the scenic beauty of coastal belt tourism industry has developed with enormous potential & economic, social & cultural process of this place & its surroundings. In this paper an attempt is made to analysis the Status of coastal tourism & its effect on Old Digha.
