The Economic Growth In Uttarakhand Is Significantly Higher Than The National Average, It Is Accompanied By Important Changes In The Structure Of The Economy And Hence Detailed And In-Depth Studies On Growth And Structural Changes Are Needed To Be Conducted At Both The National And State Levels So That Factors Inhibiting The Same Could Be Recognized And Corrective Measures Suggested. The Tertiary Sector Is A Highly Non-Homogenous Sector With A Wide Variety Of Activities. There Are Variations Within The Services Sector As Regards The Contribution Of Various Subsectors To Gdp And Jobs. Labor Productivity In The Services Sector Is Also Expected To Vary Widely. State Tertiary Employment Is Linked To The Informal Sector Not Only Because Of The Relatively Large Proportion Of Unprotected Jobs, But Also Because Of The Fact That A Large Proportion Of Employees In The Uttarakhand Service Sector Are Accounted For. So This Article Is To Make A Comprehensively Examination Of Growth And Structural Changes In The Economy Of Uttarakhand From 2001 To 2016.
