Higher order thinking skills (HOTS), is a high-level thinking ability that is critical, logical, reflective, metacognitive, creative in applying complex skills, analyzing, assessing, and creating. Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) is the ability of one's knowledge to produce new discoveries in problem solving, learn something new based on the results of learning and the experience it has. The ability to think creatively and innovatively is used to overcome new problems that have not been known to solve before. Learning that is oriented towards higher order thinking skills is learning that involves 3 aspects of higher level thinking skills dimensions that involve the transfer of knowledge, critical and creative thinking, specific thinking skills and contextual elements and problem solving in building ideas and ideas . The main purpose of high order thinking skills is how to improve students' thinking skills at a higher level of thinking.
