Lyrical Narrative and Its Composition in Performances of Rahbani Theatre: The Keeper of Keys as a Model Play

This research deals with a subject ( Lyrical narrative and its composition in performances of Rahbani theatre ) in terms of importance occupied by the lyrical narrative in the  Rahbani theatre, It’s an essential element of discourse, as singing through narration and tonal techniques, can debriefing the true meaning of the story that the show reveals, as well as its importance as an aesthetic element, it confers an expressive musical dimension through its harmony with the rest of aspect of the show. The research includes four chapters:  The first chapter dealt with (research problem), which is summarized by the following question (what is the lyrical narrative and what is its composition in performances of Rahbani theatre?). The chapter also included the importance of research and its need, as it highlighted the theme of lyrical narrative to identify the mechanisms of its operation in the discourse of Rahbani theatre. Thus, it is also a knowledge product that benefits scholars in (narration and singing) and includes (the goal of the research), which focused on identifying the lyrical narrative and its composition in the discourse of the Rahbani theatre. It also included (research limits), which were determined temporally year (1972) AD and spatially (Lebanon) and objectively, study and analysis of the play (The keeper of keys), which invested the lyrical narrative and the chapter concluded with (identification and definition the search terms). The second chapter (the theoretical framework) included two sections, the first section dealt with (the concept of lyrical narrative). In contrast, the second (the Rahbani theatre) and the chapter concluded with the most critical indicators from the theoretical framework. The third chapter was (research procedures), which contains the research sample and the research method and its tools, and also includes the analysis of the play (The keeper of keys) by the Rahbani brothers. The fourth chapter was the study results from the analysis of the play sample. Then the conclusions of this study were presented, and the research closed with the list of references.
