Participation in the Political Communication of People in Northeast Region, Thailand

Résumé

The objectives of this research were to: 1) to study the level of people's participation in political communication in the Northeast; 2) to compare the people's participation in political communicationin the Northeast base or according to personal factors 3) to study political communication guidelines of the people in the Northeast.This research was qualitative research and the research sample consisted of 400 people including 20 key informants. The instruments used were questionnaires and interview forms. The statistics used in the data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test, F value test and descriptive content analysis. The results of the research were as follows: 1) The level of people’s participation in political activities and the level of participation in political communication of the people in the Northeast were at a very good stage. 2) The participation of people with different gender, age, education, occupation, and income in political communication was not different, which was not according to the assumptions set. 3) In terms of guidelines for promoting participation in political communication, the result found that the government should continually organize campaign activities for the people to participate in political dialogue, exchange political knowledge and be able to express their opinions freely. For the sake of synthesizing information from political communication to be creative.
